I am a developer using citizens alongisde some of my plugins for an SMP, the server is in 1.12 due to that being the best version for stable development and I downloaded 2.0.34 as it appears to be the latest version for citizens which supports 1.12.2, however upon server start I am met with "ERROR v2.0.34-SNAPSHOT (build 3416) is not compatible with Minecraft v1_12_R1 - try upgrading Minecraft or Citizens. Disabling...", which version should I be using?

1.12 just works the best for development I mean, anytime I use anything higher I run into annoying issues and my plugins just don't work smoothly due to Java changes, 1.12 is the main development version without errors.
