#(m_arathi) Guided path NPC not moving

I've set some guided waypoints, and a couple destination waypoints just to test and understand how it all works, but my test npc isn't moving at all. Am I missing something?

I'm wanting to have the NPC move a bit more natural, and stop for a time at each destination. The linear path, he's just booking it, and that doesn't look natural at all.

can you send the saves.yml entry for the NPC?

noble tinsel
#

Also, I know about the Geyser issue. I have a ticket open with them. The most recent download from their site produces that error.

hollow quail

what npc id is it

@noble tinsel

noble tinsel

Test Dude is ID 6

#

I also despawned all the rest. Not sure if they're supposed to stay in that list or not

noble tinsel
#

Any thoughts?

hollow quail

Haven’t had time to look into this properly due to 1.20.4. Please be patient

hollow quail

Sorry, Geyser won't update, so I'm running behind on the versioning. I've reached out to them, but haven't heard a response. I do see the file has been updated, so trying to see if that'll fix it, and then Citizens will run. If not, I'll toss the logs in shortly

#

Yeah. It looks like it's going back to Geyser not updating. /sigh

noble tinsel
#

Okay. Was *finally able to fix the Geyser issue, and we're up to date. Something is off about Citizens however.

#

you're on the 1.20.4 build

#

You should update if at all possible. For now, we can support the build in #news for .2

noble tinsel
#

Dang. That's the latest Paper version, and Geyser itself doesn't yet support above .2

I'll need to disable for the time being

#

Thanks

sterile barn
#

Again, you can use the .2 build of citizens for now

#

just be sure to update when it's an option

noble tinsel
#

Ahh kk

sterile barn
#

(paper does have .4 builds available btw)

noble tinsel
#

Hmm, I must be missing that. I looked. But I'm also using James A Chamers build to make a server for console and pc so my kids and I can play, and it's supposed to always grab the latest builds.

sterile barn
#

Well, a direct link to the build is in #news

noble tinsel
#

Thanks

sterile barn
#

I don't know how you're planning to make your server run on console, but I guess as long as you're testing with supported architecture, it's not an issue?

noble tinsel
#

Oh, my server is has been running on a Dell PowerEdge R430, 25GB ram, and 300GB storage for about a year. Kids and I get to play together between console (Xbox, and a Switch) and pc. It's just for us, and has been working great.

They don't do any admin stuff, but they can participate in all the things. It's been a really fun experience. I had never played MC before they wanted to play together.

We all have accounts, I didn't even know there was an offline option (I read about that the other day on your Spigot page).

Even though my NPC's basically book it through the path right now, it's still fun. Just leaving NPC's that I want to set up for quests with one waypoint to keep them in place for now.
