Hi I'm AutoThreadBot! Don't mind me, I'll just be adding the helper team to this thread so they can see it. A human will get to you soon.

All information is needed - especially the full startup output, which contains server/plugin versions, and usually is where important error messages are found.

@frozen nymph
Well to be honest I don’t think it will add much
It just happened so randomly
Is it safe to assume Citizens caused it? Even if you're not 100% sure
No, it’s not safe
When you have a thread dump it takes a stack trace at a random point in time
That may or may not be relevant
Hm okay interesting
Sure, might be helpful
Yeah, up to you.
A thread dump implies that there’s some main thread slowdown for some reason
I actually don’t know which options capture that for spark
Ok got it
Yeah, thats not good
I can just run /spark profiler start without any variables
The only thing that citizens tends to cause in terms of slowdowns is that there is an outstanding issue with paper where player npcs on chunk borders can cause rapid chunk reloading
I am intending to do a workaround for that at some point
But at this stage there is no hard evidence for citizens causing an issue with your server
If you think the spark profile is related to citizens I can have a look

@frozen nymph
Well, this one is on a chunk border. But yeah, theres no hard evidence
Oh, what is that?
Like, in the middle of the yellow line
Paper treats players as being in one chunk but minecraft treats it as in both chunks so paper unloads and minecraft will load the chunk
In a loop
But let’s wait for some more evidence
Ahh I see, none of my NPC's are doing that
If you wouldn’t mind closing this thread and reopening if you get some evidence
Yes, I'll get back to you if the spark profile hints at Citizens for causing this issue
Ok 👍 please close this thread
