Hi I'm AutoThreadBot! Don't mind me, I'll just be adding the helper team to this thread so they can see it. A human will get to you soon.
You can block this bot if you don't want to see these messages, I won't mind.

!logs
Please post your full latest log file.
Background Info: One of the most helpful tools to identifying the source of a problem is your server logs file! Logs contain all sorts of important information like server and plugin versions, any error messages, and a lot more important information (More Info).
How To: Your log can be found in the logs folder within your server folder. The most recent log is a text file labeled latest.log. To get help using these logs, please open that file in a text editor and copy all of the text, then open https://paste.denizenscript.com/New/Log and paste the text into the box on the page. Then click "Submit" and copy the URL and paste that back into this channel.
Please do not upload the file to Discord or to other pastebin services, use the log pastebin linked above.

We're gonna need a full log. This looks snipped.
Alright one sec
Help us help you by pasting your script to https://paste.denizenscript.com/New/Script and linking it back here.
!debug
If you need help with a script issue, one of the most powerful tools Denizen has to offer is full debug output. This is displaying in your console whenever scripts are running until you turn debug off. To share a debug log quickly and easily with helpers, simply run the command /denizen debug -r in-game to begin recording, then run through the part of the script you need help with, then run the command /denizen submit. This will give you a link to a paste of the debug log, which you can then copy/paste back to us!
That ^
Oh, hmm, it looks like you're a few versions behind from what I could parse from your log.
Make sure you're fully updated:
!update denizen
Latest Denizen stable release builds are at https://ci.citizensnpcs.co/job/Denizen/. Most users should download the stable release build.
Latest Denizen dev builds are at https://ci.citizensnpcs.co/job/Denizen_Developmental/. Dev builds are for usually for test servers only.
Spigot resource page for Denizen is at https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/denizen.21039/ (do NOT download builds from Spigot).
yeah it says (is it up to date) Have latest

If you're having trouble posting your log file (!logs) or you posted a log but it's missing information, you might just need a restart!
What To Do: Restart your server, replicate the issue, and then Paste your logs/latest.log file right after.
Why: sometimes logs contain a lot of unrelated output if the server's been running too long which makes them unable to paste properly. Also, every day at exactly midnight minecraft servers do a log rotation, which basically just means the latest.log no longer contains the startup section of log output, which is often the most important section of the log!

Multiverse-Core v4.3.1-b861 - Multi-world configuration plugins may affect NPCs in unexpected ways.
FastAsyncWorldEdit v2.5.3-SNAPSHOT-358;b72c690 - This plugin has been known to break the plugin load order on many servers, due to usage of the 'loadbefore' directive in its 'plugin.yml'.
Starting Minecraft server on 0.0.0.0:25578 - server is offline but has no address bind. This might mean you're using a system level firewall, but if not, it means your proxy is bypassable by hackers. We support only the latest patch-version of Minecraft for any recent main version (and Mojang, Spigot, Paper, etc. all generally also follow the same rule).
"Patch version" means the last number in a version label, for example in 1.18.2, the main version is 1.18, and the patch version is .2.
So if 1.18.2 is the latest patch version, then 1.18.1, and 1.18(.0) are all outdated patch versions, and therefore are unsupported.
Note that we do still support recent older main versions (such as 1.17 and 1.16) so long as you are on the latest patch-version of those main versions (like 1.17.1 and 1.16.5).
Could it be because of outdated citizens?
How can I use it for 1.19.2 were not switching to 1.19.3
Due to not all plugins have been updated to 1.19.3
Not going to list bunch of plugin that havent been updated. Not all plugins get updated right away. But if there is no way to use it on 1.19.2 I guess we cant use Denzien then
Is there a way I can make it so each player see their own skin instead of having to set one specific skin
Tried to take a look in the wiki but didnt find much
/npc mirrorskin with denizen installed?
Well that is when it looks at the player if I understood correctly
I mean at all times
No you don't have to look at the player. Any player see's their own skin on the npc
Alright, but really no builds for 1.19.2? I cant just use an older one
Why don't you take the time to update to 1.19.3?
I am just the developer so I dont really decide that but that was their reason because not all plugins they have are updated I guess.
But has to be some older builds right
for 1.19.2
If so which
1785?
Well what about making it so it shows for example balance top 1 player skin then balance top 2 player skin
That would be a Citizens question. Keep in mind that if it comes to issues, you're unsupportable because only the latest patch version is supported.
Thats fine, but what will be the latest build for 1.19.2
So I can get that downloaded
For denizen
We dont provide links to unsupported builds to users
How can I find it then...
I have no clue what build supports 1.19.2
Well that helps with my issue
Thanks
Which plugins specifically "haven't been updated"?
Well I need latest build for 1.19.2 on denizen and citizens would be great
As the latest ones wont work
There is no build for 1.19.2 that we support.
Why don't you let us help you update your server so we can get your plugins working?
Well it was working in 1.19.2 before? How does people still use the plugins then if they dont update the server or the plugin
They update the server 🙂
Not everyone does
I know you guys cannot provide support for the older builds but cant I just take that risk?
What plugins are keeping you from updating?
Havent really gone through all plugins in the plugin list, but I am not the owner either just the developer. If anything were to break just before a release that wouldnt be so great so update can happen on next map
Just for now would be great to have the working versions for 1.19.2
If you guys really cannot help me out ill find out my self so thanks for support
Ill just find the versions my self somehow
Alright just close ticket, fixed it. thanks for the support
You know you can just spin up a test server right?
It sounds like you haven't actually tested and you're just assuming stuff won't work
Well its just not my decision
Okay, but if you did all the testing yourself and got all the versions of everything ready to go, that would make it easier for the people whose decision it is, right?
Your profile says you've been doing this for four years, so I'm surprised you haven't gone through this process before.
Because as I said its still not my decision and I assume they have their reasons for not wanting to change. I just do tasks that are assigned. I cant be asked to have a conversation with them about why they dont want to change or anything.
Would be different if I ran the server
I mean, you could have that conversation if you wanted to, or you could tell them they should come here and we can convince them.
There have been numerous bugfixes to both Denizen and Citizens since 1.19.2, and you're missing out on important changes by staying outdated. Plus the changes to Minecraft! Plus 1.19.4 is about to be released!
I could have but I havent had it becasue as I said they prob have their own reasons for not changing. I just do tasks that I get, yeah I understand that there are many changes between those updates. Dont doubt that, but if the one thing I need done works on the build it should be fine.
1.19.2 has been unsupported for over three months. I'm not sure why anyone would want to keep their server running software that old.

Many newer scripters tend to not realize the important difference between "it works" and "it is correct". Just because a script works does not mean everything's fine.
Helpers are encouraged to refuse to continue helping a user with the "if it works it's good enough" mindset until they fix all the things that are wrong (but seem to work) in their script.
Read a longer writeup explaining this idea on the forum here: https://forum.denizenscript.com/threads/public-information-writeup-the-it-works-fallacy.265/
And yes have done the process multiple of times when I have gotten asked by people to help them update their server and fix any bugs that appears after the update.
But everything works now
For context, there have been 119 new builds of Denizen since 1.19.2.
Saw that there were alot of new builds yeah
But if issues appear on these versions I might as well do the conversation about updating.
But for now lets hope everything works as needed
Are you creating server setups for others by chance?
Yeah no, I was wondering if you create that setup for another user, which, in case you do, really should help/advise them to update.
Anyway

Not making setup on this one, just doing tasks
