(Rat) Is it possible to use denizen to add fake players to the tab list
Hi I'm AutoThreadBot! Don't mind me, I'll just be adding the helper team to this thread so they can see it. A human will get to you soon.
You can block this bot if you don't want to see these messages, I won't mind.

I want to link 2 servers tab list
I dont want to make my current player count go up, i dont care for that. I just want to add names to the tab list
"spawning fake tab list entries is useful towards organizing your tab list"
!c tablist
player
tablist [add/remove/update] (name:<name>) (display:<display>) (uuid:<uuid>) (skin_blob:<blob>) (latency:<#>) (gamemode:creative/survival/adventure/spectator) (listed:true/false)
Modifies values in the player's tablist.
Adds, removes, or updates a player profile entry in the player's tab-list view.
Using 'add' will add a new entry to the client's player list.
'name' must be specified.
'display' if unspecified will be the same as the name.
'uuid' if unspecified will be randomly generated.
'skin_blob' if unspecified will be a default Minecraft skin. Skin blob should be in format "texture;signature" (separated by semicolon).
'latency' is a number representing the players ping, if unspecified will be 0. 0 renders ...
would need to enable restricted actions in the config
because adding fake entries is a nono from mojang
adding names of players on another server is specifically disallowed by mojang fyi
it's permitted to modify the tablist for like categories or info or whatever but you should never make the player think there are more players than there actually are
well techinaclly the server is under the same name, one has games and the other is survival
but I consider it to be the same server, since it run on the same node
but i wont do my idea anymore
.
Thanks for notifying me
If it's all technically the same server but separated in the background I think it's fine?
mojang hasn't enforced this rule ever in the last several years to my knowledge ¯_(ツ)_/¯
as long as Rat knows that he's taking a risk
I mean, it's still kinda a "dirty move", but in this instance if they're splitting their server for performance / setup reasons and it's all under a single proxy or something like that I think it's fine?
if that were true, why would hypixel split up their tablists of their lobbies
you can show playercount for the entire network on the server list
Wynncraft also isolates their instance tablists
it may be legal but I would not recommend it
Fair enough, pretty sure a few people already use that command to sync their tablist across a bungee network - I just wish Mojang would have proper guidelines about that
yes proper guidelines would be nice
if you want to compromise about it you could indicate separately which players are on which server
syncing a bungee network should be fine
