most of the times when someone joins our a server using our bungeecord proxy, the names of the npcs will be hidden for them. this issue is per player, meaning that player A can see the names and holograms and player B can't. it also happens sometimes that when players play a minigame (on the same server) and they teleport back after finishing the game, the npc names will have reappeared or disappeared.

Please post your full latest log file.
Background Info: One of the most helpful tools to identifying the source of a problem is your server logs file! Logs contain all sorts of important information like server and plugin versions, any error messages, and a lot more important information (More Info).
How To: Your log can be found in the logs folder within your server folder. The most recent log is a text file labeled latest.log. To get help using these logs, please open that file in a text editor and copy all of the text, then open https://paste.denizenscript.com/New/Log and paste the text into the box on the page. Then click "Submit" and copy the URL and paste that back into this channel.
Please do not upload the file to Discord or to other pastebin services, use the log pastebin linked above.

Online/Offline
Offline, but proxied.
UUID Version
0 (:triangular_flag_on_post: Hacked or Invalid ID)
Java Version
17 or newer (based on stack trace content) :white_check_mark:
Other Noteworthy Plugin(s)
WorldGuard v7.0.6+1cff55f, ProtocolLib v4.7.0
Problematic Plugin(s)
floodgate v2.2.0-SNAPSHOT (b70-6e2c19f) - Bedrock clients are unsupportable. Please do all testing with a Java Edition client.
Possibly Relevant Plugin(s)
ViaVersion v4.5.2-SNAPSHOT - Mixed client vs server versions can sometimes cause packet-related issues.
FastAsyncWorldEdit v2.0.0;2c4453b - This plugin has been known to break the plugin load order on many servers, due to usage of the 'loadbefore' directive in its 'plugin.yml'.
Potentially Bad Line(s)
Starting Minecraft server on *:42005 - server is offline but has no address bind. This might mean you're using a system level firewall, but if not, it means your proxy is bypassable by hackers. Either enable a system level firewall, or bind your server to localhost in server.properties via server-ip=127.0.0.1.

Update Citizens
Latest Citizens dev builds are at https://ci.citizensnpcs.co/job/Citizens2/.
Spigot releases of Citizens are available at https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/citizens.13811/.
Update Paper
Paper is a higher-performance alternative to Spigot that is 100% compatible with the equivalent Spigot version. It's much easier to update than Spigot itself, and carries a lot of performance and quality-of-life benefits.
Latest Paper builds are at https://papermc.io/downloads.
(If you would prefer to use a Spigot build, refer to !update spigot).
our whole network is on 1.17 and we're not planning to change that any time soon.
updating would take months and only add a few blocks and mobs.
no, it would patch security issues and known bugs that are otherwise unsupportable
and it definitely wouldn't take months lol
I'd be shocked if it took more than a couple hours to update a server
even with a shitton of plugins, 95% of them will just work with no tinkering needed
minimally, you'll want to update Citizens
anything less isn't supportable; any actual bugs or problems that exist wouldn't be able to be resolved without updating after patching them anyways
(but yeah, it's really not the basic features like blocks that you care about when updating. It's the code fixes)
we have code that depends on plugins which didn't update since 1.17.1. i am installing the latest dev build right now 😊
well you'll have to update your server at some point. If there's no way to update those plugins, then continuing to rely on them is just shooting future-you in the foot
our survival server has data packs which only work on 1.17.1. what about those? (we have tried removing them after pregenning but that made all the chunks reset and we had to restore builds on demand using core protect for weeks. and our survival server never resets)
