Hello I purchased the Citizens2 plugin off the Spigot page and I installed it and restarted my server but the plugin is red and will not work. Is there a dependency or something i'm unaware about? Any help would be useful, thank you in advance!

We support only the latest patch-version of Minecraft for any recent main version (and Mojang, Spigot, Paper, etc. all generally also follow the same rule).

"Patch version" means the last number in a version label, for example in 1.18.2, the main version is 1.18, and the patch version is .2.
So if 1.18.2 is the latest patch version, then 1.18.1, and 1.18(.0) are all outdated patch versions, and therefore are unsupported.

Note that we do still support recent older main versions (such as 1.17 and 1.16) so long as you are on the latest patch-version of those main versions (like 1.17.1 and 1.16.5).

I mean, we can't stop you, but that's generally not a very good idea - older versions have known bugs, issues, exploits, etc., and none provides support for them

There's a reason new versions are released :p, and you'll have to update eventually, no reason to hold it off

There are just so many plugins that are not updated to 1.19.3 yet and I had issues with that before thats why I went back down to 1.19 for the time being

okay well turns out I think when I started my local server most plugins were not yet updated but I tested and most of them work just a few ones didn't but they're useless ones anyway. Thank you!
