so, I wanted to make a wearable helmet with a custom texture as I've seen that it's doable to a certain extent. This texture and item works just fine but when I try putting it on, it just resorts back to a dragon_head. I assume it's because it goes from being an handheld item to a block. Do I need to create an additional json file for the dragonhead that states "parent:" "item/block" instead of handheld?

it also reverts back into a dragon head when I place it down as well. I managed to pull this off with a Carved Pumpkin but I wanted to try with a dragon head (that and I don't want the carved_pumpkin limited vision effect when I put it on (is it possible to get rid of it via denizen? if so, I can just do that)

Is there a way to get rid of the mask effect from carved pumpkins?

only with textures... uh..... i think its possible to pull a conditional on it like you can with items (if named "steve", use texture xyz), but i have no idea how

i think it would be just easier to go with the dragon head, that way you dont waste time in a very probably closed end

hmm, but the problem still ends up being that it reverts back to being a dragon_head when it's placed on the ground or on the head

but then again, the carved pumpkin effect would be accurate I think. Is there a way to have custom models for blocks as well or can there only be one texture for a block that I would have to change?
