Yesterday I bought Citizens from spigot because I tought it would work on 1.18.1 (in spigot it said it was tested on 1.18 version) but instead it disables some of my other plugins.
When I reached out for those plugins developers they told me that this is the issue, that Citizens is a soft dependency for them and as Citizens does not work on my version, it disables the other plugins.
Is there a way if I could get a refund cause of these?

We support only the latest patch-version of Minecraft for any recent main version (and Mojang, Spigot, Paper, etc. all generally also follow the same rule).

"Patch version" means the last number in a version label, for example in 1.18.2, the main version is 1.18, and the patch version is .2.
So if 1.18.2 is the latest patch version, then 1.18.1, and 1.18(.0) are all outdated patch versions, and therefore are unsupported.

Note that we do still support recent older main versions (such as 1.17 and 1.16) so long as you are on the latest patch-version of those main versions (like 1.17.1 and 1.16.5).

I dunno if I could, because when I made the server a lot of the server files was not working somehow, I made like 8 servers when once I could make the 1.18.1 paper work, even tough I made servers before, but now they just did not want to start

I mean, I won't need the refund now because I know I made a mistake with not reading those lines you linked here that the plugin was free and I could have tested it before buying which now I know was only supporting the devs.

I'll try to change the server to 1.18.2 and will use the citizens, but if not than I just have to search for an other plugin which I just found so I'll have options if something goes wrong now

many many people use Citizens on 1.18.2 (and 1.19.3, which is the ideal version to be on). It does work, and we can help you fix your issues with it

Just updated to 1.18.2, yet trying to update all the plugins need to be updated to 1.18.2 and after that I'll put the citizens in too
