(SeorOreo) Entity HitBox
Hi I'm AutoThreadBot! Don't mind me, I'll just be adding the helper team to this thread so they can see it. A human will get to you soon.
You can block this bot if you don't want to see these messages, I won't mind.

Changes the collision bounding box of the entity in the format "<low>|<high>", essentially a cuboid with decimals.
EntityTag
ListTag(LocationTag)
<EntityTag.bounding_box> Returns the collision bounding box of the entity in the format "<low>|<hi...
Yes, I just tried it but it didn't work for me at all. The entity was at coordinates 100 64 100 and I placed the first point (low) at coordinate 98 63 100 and the second (hight) at 100 66 97 and hit it at those coordinates and it didn't work for me. i think i did it wrong
I placed it as a listTag
it's actually very wonky
when you say you tried it, were you looking at it's bounding box in the F3+B display?
because the client will never display the modified hitbox
only the server is actually aware of it's change
aaaand itll change back after it's hit once
And there is no way that change will keep it forever?
re-applying it lol
from when i tested this on a Husk as an example:
i set it's hitbox like eight blocks higher
you can see it did work for the first hit, but not for the others
that and there's literally no physical indicator that it actually changed
In other words, the hitbox only resets if it receives a hit? And if the entity walks away? or does it move to the other side does it also reset?

Try it and see!
If somebody pulled this up for you, you're probably asking a question of the public channel that's easier and faster to figure out by just attempting your idea in-game and looking at the result of that attempt.
It just sets the hitbox into Mojang's code, we're not sure when exactly it resets - could maybe reset when the entity respawns as well
Would have to tias ^
Nimsy posted a script that highlights the bounding box for a visual reference. I think its in the forum.
I'll check it out, thanks
