Since a lot of people fall for scams and get hacked, there is a sense in enabling discord automod (against spam). It will remove unneccessary moderation load.
Or, you can make a channel where anybody can send a message, but whoever does, gets banned.

Or, make a waiting area and add a checkpoint (typically on another channel) where they verify themselves, members with "verified member" can access the actual server while members who aren't can only send messages on the waiting area channel where bots will send (and members with the said role will no longer haave access to those channels for good measures)
i mostly see this in public servers and some private servers which prevent most bots from scamming members unless a member was hacked

Ye, but i think verified users also get hacked, or maybe spam bots became smarter than 1 iq and pretend to pe a person

this is for the game, not the server. i do agree with your suggestion of using Discord's automod and have suggested it before

Discord automod creates other problems
iirc it was tried and resulted in a lot of problems as many words were blocked
Funny enough, kamikadze ships and tactic, ship discussions weren't very comfortable to have. Discord automod works only on servers were weapons, destruction, killing of ships and self-harm of the ship (including torpedo ships) isn't mentioned at least once every few days

On one server i saw a role "im here to shitpost" that blocks all channels exceps shitpost channel
