Then you might want to suggest a buff or some other mechanic instead

i'm afraid buff might just make already balanced ion core stronger as ion capacitor is not intentional gameplay and turn it in to buff for all ion ship. my suggestion is to add new part to store ion beam like current prism capacitor but at more efficient space, weight and cost.
