Lets say you fighting some pirate who manages to destroy some of your hallways why the nearest toom start to act like there was no hallway at all and just close up eith walls? isnt it should be a breach to the insides what would make all air go outside if theres no doors that could close it up?

This would add the need to make more like doors in hallways to ensure that the destroyed part eouldnt kill your ehole ship crew bcs of lack of air.

And if you cant afford that much of doors then crew must have something like space suits to wear them in such conditions, also this hole in your ship would make a great acces for the enemy crew to go raid you.

#

in less words, destroyed rooms should leave opened passage to rooms it was connected with chance to leave holes in nearest walls leading to depressurising ehole ship amd possibly killing whole crew

Crew already need to run around large parts of the ship to just keep the ship running, having them die instantly simply because the area they need to get too is connected to a hallway that took some damage would be really frustrating

#

Plus how would you even repair the ship if crew can't access the airlock to repair your ship after the battle

so they can exit through the hole in the ship itself

Makes sense, maybe could have it so crew rooms give suits, just not sure about auto killing crew, I mean this kinda sorta already exists, when a room is destroyed with crew in it they can survive and just get pushed out into space with a suite already on and just need to fly back to an airlock

#

Purposefully depressurizing could also be useful to fight fires

#

So long as O2 isn't a new resource that needs to be managed lol

ngl this is the kind of thing that makes sense realism wise, but would be supremely annoying/detrimental for gameplay

the idea of "bulkheads" to stop sections from depressurizing seems interesting, but it would be so drastic than almost the entire builtin lineup would have to be made to accomodate it, and I don't think people would find it too interesting
