#ADD SOMETHING THAN PREVENTS YOU PUSHING STATIONS TO THE SUN

Walt already said he plans to indroduce a gravity anchor part which will increase weapons range and make ships immobile.
e
Why?
imagine trying to push a station with a mega ship
So what?
Black holes are tiny and you cant push those either
Black holes are something completly different
I mean i know. But it's not the best solution in my opinion
You can blow up the anchor
and doing so will get a wanted
Yeeee
but you can theoretically be unseen for just enough time to ambush before they repair
If you want to loot a station you should get wanted, the gravity anchor does that
if you have exceptional standing, wanted will last really short if you hide or eliminate every responder
If you're going away to attack pursuit ships the station will unload and/or repair
Better to just kill it there and then
alternatively, buy everything needed to repair the anchor (unless it's only basic materials)
i mean
you could pull them
If it was more realistic ships of that mass would just crumple like tin cans on collision. :D
I hope the gravity anchor still lets you do it, just makes it harder
No
I mean it's very anticlimatic
Literally making stations inmobile it's kinda a bad fix
on the other hand, support platforms not being outranged by literally an ion beam
I prefer having the station sending you warnings about you pushing them
That feel when you push a carcass of a dead ship or an asteroid into the station and it in turn pushes station and the station gets it wanted.
And it being a dead ship causes it to constantly spawn bounty hunters and reset.
Think of all the loot! That's even better than the sun push!
Push one station into another for the faction wars.
manipulate stupidity of an io ship to burn a station
anchor block sounds bad but with some work it can be good
if you push the dead body of a ship or asteroid make the station get YOU wanted anyways.
Like if anything pushes the station away from it's location get the player wanted cuz it's the only one than can do it.
ai wont do it on purpose
ah yes, finally chance for the long awaited dynamic gameplay caused by a bunch of traders randomly bumping into stations.
It's not that common to have traders bumping with stations
Welp, ai it's kinda dumb
but improve it and kabom my idea works
no no, I like your idea the way it is, I think the game would be much more funny with all these shenanigans
I mean if ai bumps randomly on station the game it's gonna detect it as if it's your fault
update ai for preventing that
yes I understand what you meant there
but I can see it already, beginner player peacefully mining hyperium, all of a sudden gets double wanted by 2 different factions
xD
well
Hmm that would be a good idea for making career harder tho
to be completely honest, it would make game more balanced
as the player would get pushed to be more proactive and agressive
and won't be able to just sit and mine for 20 hours
Welp, it's player choice what to do.
I mean, it's like, in career as soon as you get 1st tier rep with any factions their delivery quests become self rewarding
you can just look at the quest, buy whatever they need from the station that needs it, take quest and deliver, and you get more creds than the cost
Oh
pushing station into the sun is like baseline of absurd stuff you can do in career
like you can get a ~80k ship and go to an high zone and control snipe a 1-2mil ship and just put swap control from your ship to that one
doesn't even take that long
but you'd have some crew issues from rep limitations
tho those don't take as long either
sun pushing is more of a funny choice than an exploit, really
sun pushing it's both
Hmmm and for this problem, i think the station shouldnt accept their own resource
Like, when you buy a resource from station, it's gonna be marked as "station resource"
And for resource missions the station wont accept the "station resource"
careful now, with all those suggestions you might fix the broken state of the pve game
like, what's next, fix the mine part costs so that they don't sell for 4x their supposed price? cmon now
Oh uh i'll try
but that's edging my english skills
The more you buy from a station, the more expensive the resource becomes?
Oh bruh
Welp in conclusion i think cosmoteer needs a economics rework
oh sorry I'm just trying to joke here a little.
My point is, yeah the pve is kinda very very broken, but there are a lot of issues outside of those particular ones.
As for mine parts, yeah they are kinda broken, the devs seemingly forgot to devide by the number of parts on there, as they did with every other ammo type, which results in mine parts costing 4 times their price, which means they are extremely profitable to make/sell.
Especially because most stations have materials that mine factory needs, and factories itself are cheap.
for the mines, yes, everything else is like that already
Welp then that's gonna get fixed anytime soon it's not very hard.
not unless someone points it out
why not just wait and see when they find it out? I mean it's not a critical bug after all.
Okay xd this it's gonna be funny
they'll probably will read this tho ;D
Welp it depends how much often devs read the ideas and feedback channel
There are other games like cosmoteer, I played some of those several years ago, and then I tried cosmoteer, I could never quite shake off the feeling that if there was a game like cosmoteer mixed with one of the other games, it would be better...
But also I recognize that it's kind of wrong to tell to the developer to make his game more similar to some other game.
Yeah cosmoteer should keep their unique style
yeah
oh you i thought you were talking about the nerf i was talking about, it was the gravity anchor, i got confused.
