This has also happened with the large shield.

How to replicate: In a ship with the large shield, enter build mode and select the heat pipe. This hasn't occurred in other ships with the 1x2 wedge

Same here, but with "No component named 'Port_Up' in part 'cosmoteer.armor_1x3_wedge'."
odd, because I was actually clicking on the pipe after having made an overclocked small shield

Reproduction steps that seem to work reliably:

1. Start a new creative game
2. Load the above ship
3. Edit this ship
4. Select the heat pipe from the part menu

i've got the same here, happened when i hovered over a 1x3 wedge with pipe selected

I'm getting the crash just clicking on a pipe part. It's gotten worse the more I work on this ship:

i got this when building in creative tooo

i changed a large thruster into a standard one (pipes were previously connected) and I crashed

the pipe wont connect then crashes me ):

the pipe not connecting may be because pipes were updated to only connect to overclocked parts

I've fixed this for the next (hotfix) patch
