I don't really see an issue in that? Its not a role for ego, its a role to get pinged if someone needs help and if you want to get pinged then take the role

People also tend to use it as it is intended anyways

Examples are the Godot server and C and C++ server, you can asign any role you want to yourself but most only take the roles they think matches their skill
