#Hyperdrive Overclock Idea: Micro-jumping

Since Hyperdrives are supposed to be a long range travel tool, and the overclocks usually give the blocks a completely new functionality, I propose this idea.

Hyperdrives of all sizes could preform an instant micro jump, producing large amounts heat and consuming hyperium based on hyperdrive efficiency, the longer the micro jump the exponentially greater heat generation and hyperium consumption. Excessive amounts of micro jumping would come at the risk of overheating or running out of hyperium. It would provide a second burst movement option other than the boost thruster.

maybe the overclocked hyperdrive beacon could prevent all forms of jumping in hyperspace in a large area around it.

you could also allow the hyperdrives to store energy but produces heat based on how much energy is stored.
