#Crew capacitor bug (honestly can be ignored)

When...

  • crewmates are assigned with supplying systems (like say, a railgun or an engine)
  • they are also assigned to a capacitor
  • they have higher priority on the capacitor
  • and said capacitor is not assigned
    ... the crew take energy to the capacitor (as to supply the said system) and put it back to the capacitor instead of moving the battery to the system (as to supply the capacitor), and that repetitively.
    Honestly, found about it by chance during my tests. I forgot to lower the capacitor's priority in my crew role AND to reassign the capacitors after moving them, and I noticed it with the Oc Capacitor catching fire due to said actions. In fact, it can even be ignored as it is more of an error of crew priority & capacitor assignment than anything else.

I don't think it's Meltdown dependent. I haven't seen it before, but it's most likely because I never did the error before (there is a lot of conditions for that to happen) and no one noticed for the same reason. Or when they noticed, they understood how to correct it and didn't report it.
I don't think it can really be abused to generate heat either. It's 50 everytime the crew put it down (supposing the Capacitor is Oc, and the bug is not dependent on whenever the capacitor is Oc or not), so it can generate, what, up to something like 300 heat in 2 second per crew? And it's unreliable too. That's less than Oc thrusters that are a reliable source of heat, and it cost crews that could actually supply the systems rather than doing that

What would this be used for, anyway? The only system I can think of that usefully USES heat (as opposed to generating heat to do something useful, or radiators that do nothing except remove heat) is thermal canister missiles.

That, or a goofy radiator rammer. This bug would help generate more heat per area

Once again, I don't think it generate nearly enough heat for this to work.

And I guess you can do that by having 2 Oc Capacitors assigned to each-others, but even then the heat generation per crew is...
