||If you have a big ship and navigating the edge of cloud, often the ships/resources close enough to overlap your haul will still be invisible.
This led to a few confusing moments where my ship was pushing against invisible obstacles(turned out to be neutral ships) or couldn't collect resources right next to my ship.||

I think this is due to things inside the cloud being invisible to stuff outside even within visual range, and the fact bigger ships need to be deeper into clouds to be considered inside of one

Yes. I think there should be a minimum visibility range. If something is so close it's literally touching your ship you should be able to see them.
