#Direct Control AutoAim Change

There is the less convenient option of using autofire
that's the opposite of what they suggested (from what i understood)
Not its the same
No, it is different.
They want the weapons to aim automatically, but the firing is controlled manually.
Auto-fire is both aiming and firing controlled by the game.
no??? autofire means you don't get to control the firing, you only control the aiming
you'll need to use hold fire to control only the firing and even then it's very janky
Plaus is partly correct. The idea is normal autofire with a manual override, so all weapons that aren't being manually controlled (ie. not the selected part group) still operate automatically.
I meant in combination with hold fire. Should have mentioned that i guess
Partly? I believe the system Im describing does exactly the same thing. It just requires double the amount of inputs. You could make a simply macro to only require one input.
You're saying that you want to be able to manually target the weapons but they only shoot when clicking the mouse button?
(There is the existing aim-assist feature which will make the weapons fire at the enemy part nearest your mouse cursor using their regular aim prediction algorithm.)
set fire button of weapons in dc as AI conrolled (Hamburger menu when selecting a weapon)
Oh, holy crap! You're a legend. I'm gonna leave this post up for others if they have the same question, but this 100% solves the issue.
you welcome I don't know how did the other dudes not think of that.
Ehh, there are a lot of niche features in the game to keep track of. I shouldn't be surprised that something workable is already implemented... I never should've doubted you, Walt.
I don't really understand how that solves the problem, but okay.
well auto aim is like AI control and I guess you can still use fire on target mode to hold fire until you click on something
