why not also rebalance pvp from the ground up
i can compile a list of changes i believe should be implemented if needed

in the rebalance mod from the excelsior server 160 m/s was a good shot speed although too high in my opinion. If it was increased to that than other cannons projectile speed would also need an increase
i do not think the rebalances are moving in the right direction
every "nerf" or "equalizing" of speed has simply made it stronger or even more necessary
in my opinion, deck cannon shot speed should be 125 m/s and large cannon shot speed should be 150 m/s
air, if you have ideas, make a mod and I'll test it

one of the big reasons I made this post was because I have had matches using a deck cannon ship that shot once or twice the entire match despite being in close range the entire match
deck cannons are supposed to be better than the large cannon yet often function worse
i rather fix the whole mp balance thing as a whole than just fix deck cannons ;)

Feel free to suggest changes for rebal. Even if its a whole list
first, make ions piercing actually work and scale properly
work on everything else later
but i can give an actual list in ~1 month, very busy irl atm

We are working on a big rebalance related to ship and projectile speeds that we are planning to publicly preview soon. Probably best to revisit deck cannon shot speed after that's available.

Nah. Or maybe buff every cannon projectile speed, but I think buffing damage to punish heavily armored ships more is a better p
option.
I think standard cannons and large cannons have little use just because of their abysmal focus fire abilities.
If you want to buff deck cannon we should also buff all cannons, and buff them a lot too
nah, heavy armored ships shouldnt get punished, they already have hard time among avoiders and orbitters, and you want to make them even weaker?
normal cannons are entirely fine, i find it odd you think they need a buff. small cannons have deceptively good focus fire abilities and large cannons have good damage output/pierce, both for very low costs

But they take so much surface area they're pretty bad on a single ship.

buffing normal cannons is pretty unnecessary past maybe a small speed buff on large cannons
