#eject all resources button

it should respect storage assignements and not pull resources out of modules that are not storage though
You can set a maximum storage amount and the crew won't pick up any amount beyond that.
if it is already inside then there is no convenient way to remove it
Yeah. I previously suggested that resources beyond the limit should automatically get ejected but that didn't get much traction.
Turns out it was because I only posted it in reply to another thread. I just posted the full idea here: https://discord.com/channels/314103695568666625/1266210731657920625.
If you right click on a resource button in the resources toolbox, there's an "Eject All" button
Is that what you mean?
w h a t
yes, but also a way to empty the whole ship at once
first time i've suggested an already existing feature lol
What scenario have you gotten into where this is useful?
sometimes i want to eject all resources in a pile, see how much is missing for my total blueprint (while there is other resources that can't fit in storage nearby), then go to a station to buy missing resources and come back
this actually happens quite often btw, 4 times in ~30 min
mostly when there is a temporary storage/corpse remnant in space that is also necessary for construction but not enough storage, and needing to go to a station to bring resources back, or to create a temporary storage in space in the first place
I feel like there's a better solution to your issue than just making ejecting easier haha
Aren't both stored and floating resources counted when you try to build, though? Shouldn't that tell you what you're missing
the reason hes ejecting them is to have room for anything he needs to go grab
by what i got from it
yes, but sometimes i need to go out and grab more resources for the blueprint, so i can't just add more storage, so i need to eject all and go buy more stuff and come back
@hard axle will make a video that shows what i mean later
not a video, but this should explain:
Hmm, I see... Would an 'eject' tool (like the remove tools) work?
I'm not aware of what the modifiers do for the remove tools 😅
by remove tool, you mean the remove resource designation button right?
I was referring to how the remove tools work in general (build, paint, resource designation), but yeah, that one works the same
