12 tiles for 8 people? good deal
yeah typo my bad. its six tiles for 8 people something you can already do but with less door logistics
2x3 crew bunk for 8
2x3 for 8 people is the same as 2x2 for 6 people + 2x1 for 2 people.
So to me it seems like a pointless addition
it would only take up two squares in the haul way
only in the length direction. would actually be worse in the other one
The general rule is you get some extra capacity by lumping them together, just like quarters is = 2 bunks in space, but = 3 bunks in capacity
So a 2x3 should give no less than 9 capacity (else quarter is equivalent capacity per tile) and to follow the general rule, higher than that.
End result, 10 crew like in Jani's mod is balanced, even arguably on the low side, so don't hesitate to raise those numbers. math over
maybe, but sometime i need a bit more operators and i don't want to pay for a 2x1, so it it is marginally more cost efficient than 2x2 i'm fine with it
Yes, this is what I would have done
It would be a niche. It's more efficient to get 3 2x2 bunks than 2 3x2 bunks
and you can place many bunks almost anywhere in the ship (for instance for pilots or gunners who sit in their seat all the time anyway), so it's usually best to just spam the most efficient one most of the time
yeah, but if i need just 2 more operators (or 4) and i don't want to use 1x2 (i never use 1x2 if i can)
True, but this is why I find this a pretty pointless addition instead of a completely pointless addition.
