in direct control, when firing a chaingun, it stops firing if your cursor leaves its firing arc. even if it still has ammo and you keep holding the firing button. this is fine with other weapons but with chainguns it only starts firing again after its completely refilled, so you are losing a major weapon until it reloads over a small user error, which could be annoying

I believe this is intentional, the exact same thing happens in RTS if something briefly slips outside of its FoV. Might be worth increasing the time it takes to retract though since manually force-firing if FoV is lost for more than about half a second gets pretty annoying.
I think this is due to the way that magazines transfer ammo and immediately freeze when the chaingun stops firing. Not "intentional" per se, but not a bug either.
