Hi, i found out that if you have a ship with Collectors and Factory onboard, and you prevent any crew to collect outside, the collector will grab resources and bring them into the cargo of the ship, BUT since some resources are queued to be sent directly into the factory slot, the collector won't pick them up, as they can't put them into the factory slot, so those resources will stay in space, still queued to the factory, jamming the entire thing since the situation can't be resolved.

A simple system to prevent is would be an option to toggle that queue resources into factory ONLY from internal cargo and prevent it to be filled from external income, at least not until it reach first internal cargo, That will also prevent when transferring item from one ship to another in MP crew boarding the receiving ship to drop item directly into factory slot instead of dropping them into cargo and saving a lot of walking time.

It mostly happen because the resources are queued to be pulled into cargo first, and once all spot are filled queued into factory slot, jamming the entire thing if using ONLY collector as a way to grab items.

It's a niche issue tho.

This is for factories that don't have hatches, right?

After some test, i realise only Iron and Sulfur got stuck, maybe because they have something different, or since they are picked up last all slot have been already attribute to something else so they end up in the factory directly

Ok so i was wrong, every factory get stuck, i've attributes restricted space so they can only fill 1 room per resources, no limit set just slot attribution, and every factory got stuck

Looks like the problem is that all factory outputs have hatches, but the inputs don't. Honestly I'm not 100% sure why that is.

Oh you mean the airlock ?

Roof hatches similar to storages, yeah. Originally they were supposed to be specific to storage, but a lot of nonsense keeps popping up around factories (especially with the addition of resource collectors), so we added hatches to factory outputs to alleviate some of that.

Currently only the construction resource inputs/outputs have hatches.
