You are right actually. People who's feedback consists of a mere "ur mod is brokan" is not very helpfull, especially if I can't even reproduce it.
if i have a larger ship nearby, why can't more crew help build?
i have this checked
and enough crew to probably construct what i want in basically two trips
1160% speed.. there is so much time where there are no crew "working" on the ship
also why do they throw those 3 steel
also the reason the parts are stocks is because i did that manually

i love the new graphics and vfx for ship construction and i have found out one of the secrets the airlock hatch has new sound effects, i like it.
found a new secret update, i love it to see crew and resources in one screen.
did find out about a nother secret update, i did first not have one part and i wanted to reload the blueprint to let it know i have now that part, but i did not need to do it π

a powerfull ship has destroyed my weak defence and next it did destroy this ship.

update: apperently problem with the EML (enhanced mod loader), removed it and it works again

Yeah it seems like the function i used to get the mod folders was removed and now causes a MissingMethodException
The method i'm using for getting the mod paths was updated and i used the old, incomplete one
i have a error, i have the room i have the airlock i have all that i need, the station did first not have it and now it has i want to buy it but i cant...

Thanks for the save file, there are a couple weird things going on there.
@silent linden Try verifying file integrity through steam, it looks like your installation is corrupt.

Fixed, EML should now work with the newest preview
during launch, will check in a bit with C0dingschmusers updated one
was traveling between two stations, looking away from screen when this happened. i'm playing on linux with proton 7.0-6 if that matters, no mods and a fresh campaign
update: its fixed now an starts as usual

mayhaps intended, but I don't think so
if you set Combat Difficulty to "Invulnerable" (Civilian), it results in the crew members not being able to demolish structures (because all damage is blocked, demolishing-damage included apparently)
thus your crew will forever stay there trying to demolish a part
(sorry for low-quality gif, wanted to test out the standard settings on gif recorder in-game)
i do see a ship in that save that is not trading...
i was playing and the game did crash, i did see noting that can have done it.
i was in the middle of a battle, i did almost lose, and after i did destroy all wapons of the enemys i wanted to destroy the ships but the game did crash.

here is the savegame
i see at most there were 35 of the possible 300+ crew from the large ship EVA
i think the optimization would be to have crew able to build temporary structure blocks adjacent to other temporary structure blocks
it seems they can already do so
like these two lengths of corridor take basically the same amount of time to construct
i bet the reason why the wider one is behind is because they have to travel an extra 6 tiles to reach the top row
if you pause an almost constructed part, it can be heavily damaged and then canceled to prevent any resource loss from the damages, as long as you never fully build it
also i noticed that crew like to swap to another crew when building instead of reuseing the same one that is already EVA
if the already EVA crew had priority for building, that could make it a lot faster
i just hope my suggestions about filenames to keep older mods working comes through before the stable branch π

well since the second save works, it doesn't really matter that you didn't have the first save
when there is a request for a crew to do something that is EVA, will it prioritize crew that are near an airlock or crew that are already outside looks like yes.

Yes, but depending on backend it might hurt performance.

Just had a fun crash.
I think a NPC ship pushed a station out of range while a large ish ship was being build/repaired.

I'd like to have access to this ASAP so I can start making my mods compatible

Yeah the Steam UI for that is confusing. And yes, the preview build has been removed in favor of the release candidate (unstable).
What was the line of code that could be edited so that the structures would not cost steel to build it?
I saw Walt mention something along those lines somewhere, but I'm unable to find it.

Just vanilla structure? This part of the structure rules file. Note that you'd need to edit it for all types of structure, and setting a part to cost nothing confuses crew too much to build it (so it can only be placed in free build).
