#Give Blueprints a faction label

Agreed, also custom faction would be awesome
You can already make custom factions techicaly
But it would be nicer to have a intake way to make it

But yea it would be nice to be able to set certain tech and other things to certain factions trade posts
And stuff
Ions would probably be bought from cabal
Or have faction specific "mods" to specific weapons (ala EVE). eg All factions offer a laser/plasma blaster but one faction offers it with greater range while one faction offers it with greater accuracy...
I'm already doing it. 😛

I'd like to have a way to prevent the game from offering ST-Techs on stations not belonging to this faction.
we could also put a bigger scaling on how reputation affects the price of these blueprints, so you're heavily incentivized to make ships that fit in with the faction you're supporting
You shouldn't be penalised for running weapons or parts that come from another faction. But you should get better consumables (or crew) that work with your faction weapons better. A faction that supports missile use, would provide missiles for their weapons that are stronger than if you use a generic missile in their launchers. Or crew supplied from the faction can carry more faction specific missile parts (or faster), or are more accurate in shooting... etc
Don't penalise but incentivise.
My main thought was just in acquiring blueprints, you wouldn't be penalized for using anything, just incentivized to get the blueprints of your faction
Getting penalised for having blueprints wouldn’t make much sense anyway as you have the object the only thing I can think of is lowering standing with that faction
If you attack them so either they make it cost more or you have to steal it by doing faction fighting missions
You know how blueprints cost more or less depending on your reputation with a faction?
My point is literally just to increase the reputation requirements to buy some blueprint, and increase how much they cost for factions you aren't working with. That way you're more likely to align with a faction and the blueprint stealing missions become viable
Sounds neat
Though I feel like this only makes sense in modded and not in vanilla since vanilla doesn’t have too many blueprints though having certain weapons and factory’s assigned to factions sounds nice
Agreed, there's no faction specific blueprints so blueprint cost scaling doesn't need to be nearly as durastic
