#New Faction Idea I had (Well New-ish)

I made a reddit post about this but I'll put it here too.

Name: The Vesto
Occupation: Pirates/Thieves
Reason: For Thrill/Fun
Specialization: Large and Powerful ships that can split into a variety of things.
Why: Bigger ships for bigger and louder heists/jobs that can split into a variety of things for more specialized jobs
Leaders: Fyre, Pyre, and Frye
3 Ships each outfited with Laser technology designed for different tasks.
Biggest Ship: "The Eighth Sin" A ship that is built from the remains of other ships. It splits off into 2 Decently sized destroyers.
Superweapon: Mass Domina, an explosive capable of evaporating a small fleet, they are working on making it big enough to wipe out an entire fleet at once.

Affiliations:
Monolith - Neutral (Stalemate)
Both are neutral because both are scared of each other's military power. So both are in somewhat of a truce/arms race. Most battles between the two factions usually end in a draw with both sides suffering in equal casualties.

Imperium - Hostile (Kinda)
Imperium is constantly watching over Vesto which makes it hard for them to do anything around them and is constantly making sure that Vesto doesn't expand too far or too much. Vesto hates this and by extention, Imperium.

Cabal - Friendly (False)
The Cabal gives them lots of things to ensure good relations. The only reason they do this is to eventually get access to Mass Domina. The Cabal believe that Mass Domina is powerful enough to reignite a star. They have yet to gain access yet so they continue this facade until then.

Fringe - Friendly (Kinda)
The Vesto and Fringe have no reason to hate each other. They both have different goals and have agreed on a cease-fire as long as they respect each other's space.

Feel Free to add any lore you think fits or add your own faction as a relation as either Friendly, Neutral, or Hostile.
Just add a reason as to why.

I think the faction just sounds like it doesn't fit at all within canon cosmoteer, and should definitely be left to user creation rather than implemented in base game. A "pirate faction" is kinda unnecessary when we already have the much more organized Fringe resistance to fill that void, as well as pirate ships that act independently.
