#Anti-Missile flares! to properly defend against missiles!

Right now, there’s no good way to defend against swarms of missiles or EMP rockets other than distance. But this flare will change that!

How does it work? Simple! By cracking a battery and then ejecting it out of the ship, the battery will burn up and any homing weapon (Missiles, Nukes that haven’t aimed yet, EMP rockets and maybe mines) will target it instead of your ship. It does not work for manually aimed weapons such as cannons, lasers, etc…

Flares will take roughly 1 second to crack, and then be shot out of the ship where they burn for roughly 10 seconds. If you have multiple flairs in one ship, they will not fire at the same time. Flares can be shot by PDs and Flak Batteries, and they’ll do small explosion damage and start fires if you somehow manage to hit a ship with it.

Flare launchers do have a downside tho: if they’re destroyed, they’ll explode and ignite the surrounding area of your ship. Each shot takes 3 batteries, and the reload time is 15 seconds.

10s burning and 15s reload time sounds pretty strong
but the idea is great
countering missiles mostly involves making a entire side of your ship defense turrets
this is a welcome addition#

Ngl it would be pretty cool to see a missile ship fighting a normal one with flares , the missile ship fires its first volley and then the normal ship deploys a bunch of flares while its PD start to kick in as well
