I use custom markers for lots of things, and because the names only show on mouse over it can be a bit annoying to deal with more than a few at once. In addition, if I'm in the middle of combat and I want to flag things to come back to later I either have to take the time to name them individually or I'm left with a bunch of "Custom Marker" 's.
I think the easiest solution would be to have some more options for marker symbols.
ie: Ship, Asteroid, and such

Great idea! I constantly have too look for what the marker is for (I hunt Fringe haulers sometimes and leave their scraps to disassemble later) before actually going there.

I personally find it difficult to use DC to get around as I zoom in to see my ship but I also get lost pretty easily, if we could have certain markers show up as how ships and blips do when off screen that’d be nice
