Yes 1v1 pvp can be awful because of other reaons, but it can also be GGs like we have seen this tourneys 1st half.

My bet is that most ppl will like blind ship picking - it is a rock paper scissors game but rps only makes sense if you do not see what the other picks in advance; AND requires players to ba allowed to change what they choose.

Very good statement, when enemy ship is visible its just who last change pick to counter opponent, from my experience in old cosmo domination; players choses are more universal and whole set was "for any case" rather just "counters/rush-spam" when there was a blind pick (no fleet changes)
