!faq json
JSON is a popular data structure format that can be used for any type of data. The extension .json is therefore ambiguous and does not necessarily mean that the file is compatible with your needs. If you refer to JSON files without context, we won't know which one you are talking about.
Here are the most common JSON files in the context of Blockbench:
- Java Edition Block/Item Model (
.json) - Bedrock edition geometry (
.json, often.geo.json) - OptiFine model (
.jemor.jpm) - Blockbench Project File (
.bbmodel) - Blockbench Theme (
.bbtheme)
if we are really talking about a Block/Item model you cannot actually animated it.
You can only animated the texture (and somewhat fake constantly looping animations that way)
Can I share with you the file that contains the creature model but in ".json" and will you take a look? Because I have a specific creature model, but Blockbench simplifies it to a single object and positions it as an item.
yes
This is a model from Vintage Story
Oh, I don't know if it's possible to download it from this view...
yeah, it's downloadable
You will need the Blockbench plugin that adds VintageStory model support then
Seems like this one https://github.com/Darkluke1111/BlockbenchPlugins
