How can you 'increase' the height limit for java block/item models?

This is a limitation with Java edition. If you are making a tool/item, what you can do is scale down your model and scale it up when held in the player's hand.

If you are making a furniture piece, I'd reccomend splitting your model into parts. If you are making a large couch, make two object (couch_left) and (couch_right)!
