#General questions about Folders & Bones / Pivot Point / Vertex Snap

While reading the documentation, I had a few questions:

Folders & Bones:

  1. Am I correct in understanding that in Blockbench, folders for organizing model elements also define the relationship of some elements to others for animation?
  2. So, does Blockbench lack Armature & Bones in the usual sense?
  3. If my assumptions are correct, is it possible to change this somehow? Plugins? Anything else?

Pivot Point:
4. Am I correct in understanding that in Blockbench, Pivot Point is used both for performing Move / Rotate / Scale operations and as a “joint” for animation?
5. If my assumptions are correct, is it possible to change this somehow? Plugins? Anything else?
6. I find it inconvenient that the Rotate operation, unlike the Move and Scale operations, refers to the Pivot Point when performing its action. It would be much more convenient for me if the Rotate operation, like the Move and Scale operations, were performed relative to the center of the element by default. Is there any way to achieve this other than constantly moving the Pivot Point to the center of the element?

Vertex Snap:
7. Does Vertex Snap simply change the position of an element as if it were moved manually using the Move operation? Or, when changing the position using the Move operation, even with perfectly accurate and verified coordinates, checked in the “Elements” panel, the “junctions” of different elements may still have some defects, and the use of Vertex Snap is mandatory, since it gives a result different from the usual movement using Move operation?

I apologize for the possibly trivial questions, but it is very unpleasant when, in the process of reading the documentation, there are still some unanswered questions that you have to ignore and move on with.

Thank you.

Armature get added next update afaik.
The whole system is currently based on what Minecraft supports. (Besides the "Generic Model" format). Though bones/folders have no effect in Block/Item models anyways since they lack any sort of animation support by the game itself to begin with.

Pivot points are rotation points, yes. No, you cannot tell elements to rotate around their center all the time. You can center the pivot point by using the center pivot point tool right next to the pivot point coordinates (or setting a keyboard shortcut for it).

Not quite sure about your question about vertex snapping. It does move elements together (or vertices in the case of meshes if you only have a vertex selected). The tool also has a scale and rotate mode.
