A friend taught me how to resize a minecraft skin in block bench today, and showed me how to use the cpm plugin (We use cpm a lot of the servers we are part of). Later on i followed his instruction on how to do it and while yes both the uv and the sheet size are 128x128, when i go to paint on the skin it still registers it as a 64x64 so i don't have the extra pixels to work with. Does anyone know why it's doing this? When my friend first showed me it worked completely fine but now it isn't.

Because you change how precise the UV grid is for the project, not how big your texture is.
oh wait, nvm, you did resize it to 128x128
but you resized it wrong
you need to resize with stretch/squash, not with crop
