#How do i depict this thing in the style of Minecraft?

ah no don't worry, it's usually like this around here
anyways, it seems like you're trying to make a quite interesting object, the first thing you can do is by making the details that stands out the most first, like the holes for example
I'm going to make a Roondaslock
(also, the holes are where it's tongues come out of)
from The Eternal Cylinder
but im having trouble on the shape, again, it's in the shape of a sphere like dodecahedron (because of the pentagon shaped sutures),but i don't know how to translate it's design into a Minecraft style
the image at the top is a Roondaslock
I believe this is for feedback on the things you create rather than a tutorial for somebody to give you the blueprints to your ideas
considering this has flat pentagon faces and minecraft has cubes I suggest maybe overlapping 2 cubes, one is at a right angle
and the other is rotated 45 degrees in the x, y, and z axis
that should be a decent base to start off with
you will prob have to scrap the 5 eye idea and do 3 eyes instead
I like the idea, but i like accuracy, so no, sorry
the only factor i think that could make this easier is that the Roondaslock will be 47/48 pixels tall
(pixels being a single 16x16 square)
also, sketches/concepts are allowed
Also, made a Roondaslock eye
yeah, the eyes are actually yellow, but when attacking (mainly the groundpound and death roll), they turn red
square
I hate to say it but I don’t think a Dodecagon is transferable into MC. You may just need to make a cube shape and let the texture work do the heavy lifting
Again, concept art/sketches are allowed
so don't be afraid to visualize your ideas
wait, i meant to say Dodecahedron, not Dodecagon
yaa that complex of a shape is everything but possible in minecraft
Okay, so not doing the original shape
why and how is every single message you sent always edited
i'm sorry, i change them when i feel not satisfied with them
i mean id make a dodecahedron shape with flat cubes
Okay, i'll try to do that
sorry the shape on the right is totally wrong, but you get the idea. id do it like that and then attempt to cheese fill it with cubes. only problem ive no clue what that would look like textured but if you make all the puffy bits 3d, then they should cover up the potentially scuffed pixel resolution inside. left is a flat shape. ive attached bbmodel for closer look at my masterclass
thats not an easy thing you picked
are all of your spaces supposed to be double?
but ya dodecahedron is an impossible shape to make in block bench (low poly)
no my keyboard was busted, kept double clicking. new one arrived just today. Why are you so picky over the way other folks type?
not really, just make a cage of it using strips. its fiddly, takes up a lot of time but very much possible. the ballsack he is trying to build, literally has lines for you to follow. fill each "side" with flat rectangles after cage is built
Alright alright chill, was asking why
still here
Ya
what happended to that guy?
who said he would try to make a test model with flat panels
oh, it was in a different channel, still will probably ask a professional modeler
