I'm just getting into Blockbench and I need to understand some specifics before I continue.

I'm trying to create a mob for NeoForge 1.21.1, so I'd like to know which starting templates I should use. While "Java Block/Item" seems like the obvious choice, it doesn't seem to allow me to rotate in increments less than 22.6 degrees, which I'd like to circumvent. Is there a way to disable that? Alternatively, could I use the "Modded Entity" starting template instead, as it doesn't have the rotation limitation? Thanks in advance.

Sounds reasonable enough. Thank you.

By the way, how would I go about using another block/entity's textures on this entity I'm working on? For instance, say I'm making a deepslate golem, and I want to apply the deepslate texture to all faces of this entity as a base.

Load in the deepslate texture, then Ctrl+Click with the copy brush on the texture like this
Make sure the brush size is set to the same size as the texture (16 for default textures)

#

Then, if you don't have a texture yet, create a new texture
-# make sure keep multi-texture occupancy is NOT ticked

Then use the copy brush to paint on your cubes (set the mode to "Pattern" next to the brush size). You can turn the size to something higher than 16 here if you want.
