Hello! I'm new to modeling and I tried to make a Custom Optifine Entity to replace the trident with, but the model in-game has this strange flickering black static on it and I have no clue what might be causing it. I could not find any solution online, I'm at the end of my rope here...

make sure the UV of those parts isn't 0 wide and/or high

Select one of the parts that looks weird ingame and check if their width or height is set to 0
No, none of the parts show "Size horizontal" or "Size vertical" to be 0

Hmm, my only guess is that ingame doesn't like decimal sized UVs and rounds them down 🤔

Hoover Dam! It worked! Thank you so much, kind stranger! I will make a note for the future that Optifine doesn't like decimal UV sizes so I need to enlarge them manually
