Trying to make bending elbows/knees to animate for my figura minecraft story mode-style model, I've separated the arms into upper/lower, but I'm not sure how to go about making them look connected when bending? In the original game the model/texture seem to stretch but I'm not sure how to get that effect with blockbench. I'm new to blockbench/modeling so any ideas are appreciated

wouldn't this just be two overlapping parts like this with a pivot point here?
I think that would cause z fighting with the textures
just make one part of the arm minimally smaller/larger
or have a very tiny rotation (to the side, not into the bend ofc)
maybe i got the pivot wrong but for 90 degree rotations it looks alright but anything else looks wrong, prefer the bend position to be faithful to the og game so i need to keep the inner elbow where it is
I’m guessing there’s no way to just have the arm and texture bend and deform like in story mode
Yeah, the pivot point needs to be at the elbow not the middle of the arm
I’m not sure what you mean, putting the pivot on both the inner and outer elbow makes the arm disconnect when rotated
that is what i meant, the pivot is on the outer elbow and it disconnects when rotated
ah, then you'll need to rotate and move it during the animation, and have some center piece there that is slightly smaller than the arms (so it only shows up if the arm pieces aren't completely linked basically
I was hoping mesh deformation would work because of this avatar I saw on the figura server but im not sure how it was achieved
