I don't get it, are you trying to make an animated texture?
If you are it's literally just a sprite sheet, and if you want certain frames to appear with certain animations, then you have to make it code based or do a certain frame pattern for every different animation (extremely tedious)
I wanted to make an animated texture using many PNG's, without using an external software to stitch them together into a sprite sheet, as I couldn't find out how to merge PNG's in block bench. I have since figured that out though, you can just drag and drop files into the texture editor manually
You can also use the flipbook feature, and place your pngs in whatever frame you want
can you drag and drop them in there?
I think you can
