Hey friend, so I'm starting to model with block bench using the dod geckolib plugin. I'm modeling a lightsaber and I wanted to know if it's possible to add a shiny block.

And also, when I made the second layer, it kind of doesn't show the other side.

If you want to add "shinyness" to an item, you really can't do you have to texture it manually, if you want to add it to a block in the world, you'll need to set up fancy values so shaders know to make that block shiny

As for the faces rendering in certain ways, if you want it to render like Minecraft does, you need to go in settings > preferences > view mode, and there set face culling to outside
