In pixel art 16x16
you want a texture that gives the illusion of depth?
or an actual 3D model
Yes, not actual 3d model
ah ok
Like its part of 3d model
well things that are inset will have a shadow on them
and the lip at the bottom of the inset will be brighter
so having darker pixels at the top of the "inset" section and lighter at the bottom can make it look more 3D
Like that?
That's not real texture, it's only for depth one.
that texture is just a blue circle...?
Yes... It's just for test my understanding of depth things
Okay let me write some real texture for test
So there good depth accent or no?
?
wait is this meant to be a crystal item or an ore block for that crystal
Crystal item
Let me send reference
Just I want it more rounded
Yes, many crystal together that create "ball like" form
hm
this is probably a better question for #1095384957293178891
this is more of a technical help channel from my understanding
I would recommend looking at this as well

That my best try:
I already readed that...
oh that's pretty good
I just not sure how to I can make more depth between the parts?
yeah I'm not a pixel artist, I think you would get much more valuable feedback if you posted this picture and your reference in #1095384957293178891
I'm very interested in the non-artist's point of view, does it look like a crystal or like some kind of ender pearl?
