I mean, I want to make something similar
The smaller the sheet the bigger the pixels are
Hows that possible? Is it bc Im making a block for minecraft?
Yeah, Im making a 16x16, bc it is a block for minecraft java
But how people add that much detail tho?
Is there any easier way of making blocks for minecraft java? Like a plugin or something?
Brush opacity and blending modes
Minecraft goes by pixels so smaller cubes will have a lower pixel count btw
No its a custom model
Entity?
Yeah
Can u make custom models for blocks?
Hmm well
I would like to make a quarry block but I dont want it to look so terrible
But just making cubes and trying to do it that it makes it seem something is difficult tbh
Yeah it is, I suck at using cubes lol
Because ive seen people make tiny houses as a block
I'm not sure honestly, I think Block Bench is the most known program
Imo this model looks good
It isnt bad
I think its the color tho
If I could make some detailed gradients
But I cant bc of the 16x16
Yeah coloring is the hardest part for me
I do very basic textures so yeah
To make colors more exact turning off shadows help, shadows being on makes it look darker then it actually is
So if you turn those off it shows the real color
You can switch between on and off to see how it looks
Yeah, not with the shadows looks okeish
Sorry if I'm not helping a lot, I suck at textures lol
For like details and such people often lower the opacity on brushes, it almost kinda looks like it mixes colors
Hmm Gonna try
Nah its good
Im just so overwhelmed with this new program tho jajaja
Dw, it took me a while to get used to it too
For being brand new your actually doing really well
I have a feeling you will get used to it quickly!
I hope so

I want to do shit like this
Timelapse of a model I made, Includes Modeling, Painting, Animating and Some rendering
You can view the 3D model in Sketchfab: https://skfb.ly/oqYrO

When I was new I was very confused as well lol
Yeah, at least I have the experience from photoshop and things like that
It has nothing to do with 3d but
Somehow it makes you feel like its not that "Hard"
Ive been using Block Bench for around 2 years now so, I must say I still suck at textures lol
Well, the guy of the video
Took some art class and shit like that
I shoudl do the same if I want to get better
FR THOUGH, I look at timelapses and I'm like, they make it look so easy
Or just watch 300hours of videos like this
Well, he is using a Generic model
But with a Generic model you cannot implement it into a block, right?
I dont think so no
Generic models are often used for low poly
And has a lot more shapes
Well, but a generic model can make use for a Entity, right?
I'm not sure sadly
Well, gotta say the craziest thing I watched is about entities and not blocks
So maybe it is bc it is way more restricted
Maybe, I never really made MC stuff as I just use Block Bench to make low poly stuff
But BB isnt for mc entirely?
No
Well, mostly, right?
Generic models is kinda similar to how models are made in Blender in a way
