that's weird 🤔
can you make sure that the cubes themselves aren't set to box-uv either? (Ctrl+A, rightclick any cube in the list of cubes in the Outliner and set the UV mode to per-face uv)
sometimes changing it in File > Project only affects new cubes, hence that suggestion
ah wait, the warning already mentions that way to change it
I fixed somehow by converting the model to a generic model then back to a gekolib model
