look up armor
if you find something that is okay try to implement the details of the armor
in this
and then ask for feedback
just try it, you can always undo later
U can try to take a look at how artist do shading on miniatures (pic. 1). And u can try to texture ur armor in a similar way using pixel art shading techniques (pic. 2).
alright, ill try those thanks guys
One thing I will also say is to try imagining what your character would be made off
That helps a lot
@digital knoll @analog gulch laid some foundations for a gilded look hows it look
looks good, keep going
Any suggestions?
same as before, nothing new for now
yea just keep doing it
you should make yourself a palette for each color of like 9 colors
so you have your main and then 4 shades and 4 highlights
ig its a bit too much for him rn. Im using palettes with 4-8 colors usually. He dont need 9 colors. Number of colors is not the point of texturing, u just need to use ur color in a right way. Good texture with less colors is always better than just gradient of 100500 colors
imao
No 9 Colors is to make yourself a range
and you only use as much as you need
also on such a big models or big resolution not sure
9 colors are not much imo
yea I am not saying to texture like minecraft sometimes does on the shulker for example
@analog gulch @digital knoll added some more colors
looks good so far, but try to make shades edges a bit more smooth, not that square
i dont understand what you mean
