if you're using vanilla, the game doesn't like anything that isnt either 0 or 100% transparent

see the pale orange parts, it shows as transparent in every editing software i've used

if anyone else sees this, I found that it's because the model I'm working with is a solid block

and solid blocks don't support transparent textures

basically just a womp womp
