I accidently ran the installer instead of launching the software itself and now this message comes up whenever i try to open a model i had made, is there any way to recover this or do i need to start all over again?

when i try to find the files source it takes me to the blockbench folder but it isn't there

Did you initially save the model in the program files of Blockbench?
Cause then it's gone.

Never save stuff in program files.
Any update might remove those.
