I had this happen, it was after changing perspectives
I fixed it by simply restarting blockbench
An problem with one or more plugins could theoretically also cause that problem (of a restart doesn't fix it)
I haven't changed any plugins since this started happening, and I've tried restarting the app several times already.
Also, for preview scenes, the backgrounds load, but the models don't. Did I hide the models somehow, and is there a way to undo it?
"but the models don't"
you mean that platform your model would be on?
Exactly.
could you press Ctrl+Shift+I (and swap to the "Console" tab if it's opening in the "Elements" tab of that debug sectin that pops up) and screenshot what is written there?
There was also a WebGL error that went on for almost 1000 lines.
yeah, definitely seems like something broke 🤔
Have you updated your graphics drivers recently?
No, I haven't touched them.
Try updating them just in case and see if that problem persists.
If it still persists afterwards, you could try factory resetting Blockbench (In Blockbench: Help > Developer > Factory Reset)
Graphics drivers are up-to-date according to Windows, and even factory resetting somehow didn't work.
what OS are you using?
OS: Windows 10 Pro 22H2
GPU: GeForce RTX 4060
k, Windows 10 shouldn't be a problem 🤔
and unless a recent GPU update did something weird it should work.
Based on that error though it seems like it doesn't like something in some shader? 🤔
(Hard to tell without seeing everything myself, and even then it depends on how detailed/useful the errors are)
On another note, does the web version of Blockbench also have that problem?
If not, it would be a temporary workaround to use that one for now until we find the actual problem.
Funny enough, no, it doesn't.
Okay, I guess restarting my computer fixed the problem. I wish I had tried that sooner, but thanks for helping, anyway.
