Hello!
I'm trying to make my own minecraft texturepack, I've done the items like sword, axe and they work.

The problem comes with the armor, I haven't found any clear tutorial on how to put the armor in minecraft, If anyone was here to help, or just give their folder that would make me know how that thing works then I would be grateful.

(btw i'm not trying to change normal minecraft items, I'm trying to do armor that changes when it has it's custom name)

Hello! In the CIT folder, you have to create an additional folder in which you put the armor's texture, a texture for the icon and their properties. Hope this helps!

#

For both the armor and its icon, you have to set here the same name so that the texture will change.

#

You can tell me if you need the folders for other armor pieces.

is there any need to use mcreator for that or no?

It depends on what you want to do. I never worked with MCreator or mods. Only the head parts can be 3D models, but you have to set them on carved pumpkins (which need an additional texture that cancels its overlay). For the armor, they can only be 2D vanilla textures, which you can modify using a photo editor like Gimp, Aseprite or Photoshop

If you have 3D models for chestplates, leggings or boots, then you cannot set them as custom armors without MCreator. I've searched for that, but from what I've found, it is not possible.

For a 3D model hat it's a little different, but yes, kinda. That's the file for a bandana, and the texture is in the textures folders. I think you can put it there if the model's texture is saved in this path in Blockbench.
