#json file loading incorrectly

I'm trying to import a json model from a game called Vintage Story, but when I try, the model load incorrectly. From what I can tell, it tries to load it as a project for a block in MC java.
How can I tell BB to load it as a generic model instead ?

Thanks.

I don't think blocked has native support for Vintage Story, are you using a plugin?

FAQ
Blockbench: Json

JSON is a popular data structure format that can be used for any type of data. The extension .json is therefore ambiguous and does not necessarily mean that the file is compatible with your needs. If you refer to JSON files without context, we won't know which one you are talking about.

Here are the most common JSON files in the context of Blockbench:

  • Java Edition Block/Item Model (.json)
  • Bedrock edition geometry (.json, often .geo.json)
  • OptiFine model (.jem or .jpm)
  • Blockbench Project File (.bbmodel)
  • Blockbench Theme (.bbtheme)

as itsgrass said, there might be a Blockbench plugin that has support for Vintage Story .json files (if Vintage Story saves its model files as .json to begin with)

can you show one of the .json files you are trying to open?

that does seem like a custom model format, yeah

#

only plugin I could find for VintageStory (in the Blockbench plugins list) is one to export to that format though 🤔 (no importer)
